So my friends and I have been planning this awesome trip to a sunflower farm for about a couple of weeks. Every time we wanted to go something would always come up so we had to bail. We checked the times of when the farm was open and so one day we all just got dressed up and left. We were all excited because it was the first time for everyone. We drove about 50 min with rain falling and stoping then falling again. Once we reach the area, the rain had cleared but we could only see what we thought was a cornfield. So after going around and around I decided to call because we thought we were lost. That was the moment we received the worst news ever. The sunflower season was over and they had cut down all the flowers.
Ok I know that wasn’t the most interesting story, but I tell you this because there was a bigger meaning than getting our hearts broken. When we left the farm my friend ask me to drive back. So we parked in this beautiful neighborhood to switch spots. When I got out I saw there was a row of daisies so we did a quick little photoshoot.
It turned out to be really nice and although it wasn’t the sunflowers in our background we were able to see the beauty in these daisies. People can be blinded or be disappointed by their expectations. That day was a great example of being open minded. Things won’t always go your way and you can’t put yourself down for it. Sometimes you have to see the beauty in things and be more optimistic. We still had fun and we were able to turn what we thought was a waste of time into a beautiful memory.
Life is to short to dwell on the past. The flowers were cut and there was nothing we could do about it. But that didn’t mean that the flowers next to it weren’t good enough.

I want to start off this post by congratulating you on all that you are doing. Whether it is getting a new job, surviving the first week of college, or just ending your shift at work. It doesn’t matter what you are doing, only know that you got there, you made it, and keep going. We all work hard to pay our bills or perhaps provide for our expensive lifestyles (guilty). Whatever it is, congrats, because you’re doing it. Now I need you to do something:
Take a breath…take a deep breath. Take a moment and simply relax. Even if you are going through a hard time, know that things will get better. Life happens, that includes good and bad things. You have made it this far. There are moments where we are so busy and don’t stop to give ourselves a break. So for today, your task will be to take a chill pill.
have some cafecito
read an old book
visit a friend
take a jog
stay in and listen to the rain
plugin your headphones and forget about the world.
You deserve it. Then keep on doing you boo. You’ve made it this far 😉
Ever since I started my blog, many have asked me what “Famous Misfit” means. I could never really give a good answer so I decided to find a good definition. As the majority of us know, being famous is being someone with a lot of recognition. As for the word ‘misfit’, it is defined by Merriam Webster as “a person who is different from other people and who does not seem to belong in a particular group or situation.” Now you ask me, “Why put those two words together?” And here is my answer; it is the definition of every human being. Being an outsider or “misfit” doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bad thing. It means that you’re not jumping on society’s ban wagon. You are simply being yourself. When you’re different it shows the world what kind of people are out there and some might find you relatable. In some cases, people may consider you to be “famous”. You might be a vlogger that they enjoy watching, blogger that they enjoy reading, or an artist that they enjoy looking at either paintings or even hearing you sing. My point is that you will always “fit in” and “stand out” in almost every situation you are in. As for me, I enjoy sharing my love for all things beauty. I am not sharing it because I want to get noticed. In reality it is something that helps me escape and find some peace. I hope everyone can one day grow into their own famous misfit and make this place fun and exciting. I’ll end this with one of my favorite lyrics, “Just imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same! And my idea of a perfect world is one in which we really appreciate each other’s differences.”
Hey there my sweet little misfits! As we all know Valentine’s Day is literally around the corner and that means we all have to look our best! However, not all of us can spend all day getting ready, or even worse, you just don’t know what to do and you’re wasting your time standing there looking at yourself. Well, here’s a quick and easy way to get ready for that special day with your special someone in like maybe……20 minutes 😉
First, apply your favorite liquid foundation evenly throughout your face.
Next, add some black eyeliner on your top lid and apply your favorite mascara.
Don’t be afraid to add a bold color on your lips. For this occasion…wear red 😉
To add a finishing touch, use your straightener to curl your hair. I personally prefer the straightener, because I feel it gives your hair a more natural and bouncier look. Then add some hairspray and your done!
Aaaand Viola! You are now ready to take a #selfie 😘✌️
