So my friends and I have been planning this awesome trip to a sunflower farm for about a couple of weeks. Every time we wanted to go something would always come up so we had to bail. We checked the times of when the farm was open and so one day we all just got dressed up and left. We were all excited because it was the first time for everyone. We drove about 50 min with rain falling and stoping then falling again. Once we reach the area, the rain had cleared but we could only see what we thought was a cornfield. So after going around and around I decided to call because we thought we were lost. That was the moment we received the worst news ever. The sunflower season was over and they had cut down all the flowers.
Ok I know that wasn’t the most interesting story, but I tell you this because there was a bigger meaning than getting our hearts broken. When we left the farm my friend ask me to drive back. So we parked in this beautiful neighborhood to switch spots. When I got out I saw there was a row of daisies so we did a quick little photoshoot.
It turned out to be really nice and although it wasn’t the sunflowers in our background we were able to see the beauty in these daisies. People can be blinded or be disappointed by their expectations. That day was a great example of being open minded. Things won’t always go your way and you can’t put yourself down for it. Sometimes you have to see the beauty in things and be more optimistic. We still had fun and we were able to turn what we thought was a waste of time into a beautiful memory.
Life is to short to dwell on the past. The flowers were cut and there was nothing we could do about it. But that didn’t mean that the flowers next to it weren’t good enough.

Hey guys! This is Jocelyne again with more lost files! St. Augustine is such a beautiful place to visit. If you are someone like me who loves exploring and traveling then St. Augustine is a definite must place to go. The weather on that day made everything look so vibrant and colorful. There are so many things to do and many places to see. St. Augustine is just perfect for quick little get away. Once again these were images shot with my Minolta film camera.
I was recently cleaning out my desk drawers and I ran into some old film rolls. I had NO idea what kind of pictures were on them or how old they were. It is always exciting to see what these lost files contained! These photos were from a trip we took at St. Augustine. They were taken by a Minolta film camera using color film.
You guuuyyysss!!!! I’m so happy to share with you my final assignment in my first digital photography class. I’m in love with these shots mainly because they are two of my closest friends and they are just too cute. ( am I right?! )
In this assignment, I wanted to show a scene that captured their true expression and not just an “act” of love. I was pleased that Emmanuel and Gabriela loved these as much as I did. Could this be the new couple of the year?
After a busy week of finals I’m finally able to share with you one of my favorite photo shoots that I did about two weeks ago. Shout out to Ellen Spivey for these awesome shots!
As you probably know by now, I tend to go for comfort in my clothing. These pants are the definition of comfort. I had gotten these when worked at HOPE’S, a small boutique store back home. They are currently out of stock but hopefully they will bring something as cute as these again for this summer. I paired it up with a simple crop top I found on SALE at Target.
This week I wanted to start off in style! Bringing back my all time favorite floppy hat to help pull together this super cute and comfy outfit. Jumpsuits are awesome simply because you can totally dress them up or ditch the blazer and get casual. This is the perfect outfit for a daytime or dress it up for a night time look.
Check below for more details on this outfit and let me know your thoughts on this look!
This semester I took an intro to photography class. We learned to shoot, develop, and print black and white film. I’ve learned so much in this class and had fun while doing so. Here are some of my favorite prints that I have done so far. All were taken with a Minotla-x370 film camera.
Heellloo! Its been a while since I posted anything with my girl Lola (Minolta cam). I recently took a trip to the beautiful town of Charleston, S.C. I know it is not a lot but that is because I had a malfunction with my camera so I apologize. However, here is what I took and I hope you enjoy! 🙂
So the big reason behind this post is pretty much an excuse to show off the new members of my shoe family. But first, let me explain why I just had to post this! When it comes to shoes (especially heels), I tend to look away immediately. It takes me forever to break any shoe in, so I rather not even deal with the problem. However, these shoes are now my go-to pair. They may look like another regular pair of wedges but let me tell you something girlfriend…these shoes are magical! Not only are they comfortable, but SUPER cute! I love how these can just tie in the simplest outfit together. I linked similar items of my outfit since I couldn’t remember where I’ve gotten each piece. But don’t panic! The shoes are there and on SALE!
I also want to give a specially thank you to Ellen Spivey for once again taking these amazing shots!
Hey guys! Before I jump into my obsession of my new Michael Kors jumper, I want to thank my good friend Ellen Spivey for taking these amazing shots! Go follow her on Instagram @espivey and show her some love! Ok, time for business. I love this outfit! I want to talk first about this jumper. Even with the high 90 degrees temperature, I managed to stay really cool and non-sticky! I am wearing a size medium and it was just a perfect fit. The adjustable straps were a plus. Being 5’4 did not go well with the length of the jumper. I did have to wear some wedges, but that was no big deal. That is where my awesome Nine West shoes came in. I decided to add a light weight cardigan and to tie up the outfit, nothing says summer than a fedora and some Betsey Johnson sunglasses. Enjoy your summer!
